Position Overview

As an Entry-Level Event Assistant, you will help plan, coordinate, and execute community and retail events that drive donations for nonprofit organizations. This hands-on role provides the opportunity to interact directly with the public, assist with event logistics, and contribute to successful fundraising initiatives. This fast-paced position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, outgoing, and committed to making a positive impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating community and retail events
  • Manage event logistics to ensure seamless execution
  • Serve as a point of contact for attendees, answering questions and providing information
  • Promote the nonprofit’s mission, encouraging participation and donations
  • Distribute promotional materials to raise awareness and engagement
  • Track event data, including donations and sales, ensuring accuracy
  • Collect attendee feedback to improve future events
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure successful event delivery
  • Participate in training sessions to stay informed on nonprofit missions and objectives
  • Support a positive, energetic atmosphere at all events

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing, friendly, and passionate about supporting charitable causes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Previous experience in event coordination, customer service, or sales is a plus, but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for event travel
